After completing a bachelor degree in journalism, Tim began a seven-year career as a print and broadcast journalist and editor, working for media organisations including Tim McDonald ABC-TV, ACP Magazines, Morrison Media and Primedia Inc (USA). In the late nineties, he consulted to Billabong for its debut website in 1998, before moving to full-time web work.
After two years producing finance, travel & lifestyle portals in the USA and Australia, Tim moved to Sydney for interactive agency Suede Communications. In 2003, Tim took up a position as Product Manager in Fairfax Digital’s New Markets division, before leaving to form Found Agency in late 2004.
